The main thing is my wife likes the look of the fine red cedar shavings but close to the water garden she uses more of the shredded stuff so it doesn't blow into the water.

The neighbor who uses her own shredded wood only uses it as a mulch. She got several truck loads of leaves from the city and several wagon loads of horse manure from us. When getting the manure we also scoop up the bedding which is urine soaked pine shavings.

It's started to cool a bit and the humidity is dropping. I hope we get a few days without rain as Sue is staying home next week to do yard stuff.
