no, no hard data that is the problem. And of course you are correct to go on polls. But even John Zogby has said his best prognostications had a bit of a "gut feel" element to them.

I think what Zogby said was that this election is Kerry's to lose. What he's talking about is the polling trends. But as we all know a stock's price that is trending downward is no guarantee that it will continue to go down. WRT Bush I think that a bottom is forming. His numbers can't go much lower because they're beginning to bounce off his core support.

That's what makes the Nader factor so huge. If there is any hidden bounce coming from a get out the youth vote campaign, it isn't showing up in the polls yet, and it would if it were significant.

This election is going to be very close. I predict that the winner will win by a small margin, and that Nader will be shown to be factor in many states.
