<<< How would you have suggested this happen? After you finally realized of course, that the UN, after 17 Resolutions, was going to do nothing?

What would you have done?>>>

Whether you like it or not, we are part of the International Community. We are not going back to isolationism.

What this is all about is leadership.

Either we are going to be leader of the world community, or we should get out of the way and let some one else take that position.

The obvious choice, IMO, is that we are going to be top dog in the world community - but we are not going to do it by military means. (That is why we have a strong military - so we don't have to use the military to get our way).

We are not going to be the leader of the world community if we declare all our traditional allies to be our enemies - not to mention all those country who do not share our common heritage.

Was that beyond us, to lead the world to topple Saddam Hussein?

Let me be the first to reveal this little secret. Saddam Hussein had no friends in this world. No one thought he was a good guy.

To allow Saddam Hussein to come between us and our traditional allies is a joke.

One of the more stupid things I heard was some joker campaigning to boycott French goods - brie, Champaign, etc.

The only trouble is, they could stop drinking Coke, Pepsi, Gatorade, Starbucks and stop buying from IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Cisco...... on and on.

Whose interest are you people representing?
