Thanks for the Point Arena suggestion. I'll try to plan the
trip to include it.

And yes, most of the dull & drab was Kansas, not that I
want to disparage the state. It's just the lay of the land
that doesn't suit my particular taste. Now, parts of
eastern Colorado & central Wyoming were a bit dull & drab
too, but they also had some of the most breath taking &
beautiful landscapes as well.
