This is what Political Correctness has become. Mere opponents are falsely denounced as "racists" while virulently racist allies are given a pass by the very same people.

I think many, if not most, cases of extreme behavior is executed by right-wing elements, often from the JDL. The goal is to associate all legitimate critisism of Likud practice with the extremem anti-semitism thereby shutting everyone up.

TCS doesn't seem to be a very high quality news outlet. There are incidents of all kinds in Berkeley- the town attracts extremists of all kinds- when I was there in the 80's I was amazed at the number of right wing nut jobs attracted to the idea of "confronting" the left wing nut jobs. There are all sorts of hate incidents in Berkeley- against Muslims, against the homeless, against blacks, against women, against all sorts of people- the people of Berkeley represent all types of views, and are from more countries than I could list here. To take a few examples, none of which is very major, and turn it in to an "intifada" is just bad journalism, on the part of this paper and the East Bay Express (I know, the Express is an "alternative" voice- but it never seemed to be a very responsible voice)- or should I say bad editorialism. That isn't a news article, it's a very slanted opinion piece. Too bad it isn't labeled as such.

Strangely lacking proof, especially since it would be so easy to document.
