spots-

OT - more canucky stuff....

good rant, if you'll allow me to call
it that. you got my attention <g>.

i'm feeling as frustrated as you are - as
are many canadians. i just hope this
doesn't manifest itself in lower voter
turn out, or worse yet, a PC majority. i
believe that what you refer to as 'scare
tactics' are for the most part true and
indeed scary and canadian's need to be
made aware of where the conservatives
intend to take this country.

you right, the liberals are no longer liberal.
they're pc's pretending to be liberals.

layton is the only viable alternative imo.
besides which, i like what he's saying.

the debates should be interesting, yes?

Let us in what you're talking about -2 billion for what? a gun registry?
Heck, when I lived in Canada, that would have been 4% of GNP.

OT, still, as another lurking Canucklehead gets political...

>>For God`s sake send a message... At least vote NDP...<<

Spotted.Cat! How could you? To even suggest that a protest vote should go to the whining NDs -- well really. No, no, here's where the disenfranchised, slightly-right-of-middle-of-the-road Canucks are heading: greenparty.ca with the left coasters polling about 10% in favour, and even a chance to pick up a seat (Salt Spring?). Ecological conservatism: One up for a sustainable environment. And the $1.75 per vote the greens scoop up for appearing on the political radar screen will undoubtedly be better spent than the $2 billion on gun registration blown by the Liberals. I hold a new conservative membership card but cannot vote for the party due to an embarrassing local candidate, see voteoutanders.com (take the quiz -- this guy is a real piece of work). The greens represent the potential for more accountability, (just give them a budget to work with, at least) with an obvious slant and an appealing long term vision. <Dismount soap box, resume lurking position>.
