I agree Robert. Its about what happens when the "scandel finally becomes "public". Does the market see short covering or does this scare the retail investor again out of the market..............

Just something to ponder...cmg

Let me preface this post by saying I sell short a fair amount...

The whole concept that shares can be borrowed and sold is nothing short of bizarre and ripe for corruption. IMO if this scandal is real (and it would not surprise me), I suspect a public disclosure would produce a massive short covering rally, at least initially.

How do you cover millions of borrowed shares sold that do not exist? Once the public gets wind, I would think at a very high price, unless the price is artificially suppressed. We know price control does not happen as that would take organized corruption. Ask anyone in the brokerage business and they will tell you conspiracy theorist are nothing more than stock hobbyist...LOL

THINK LIKE A CRIMINAL

Regards,
LG

There's Gotta be plenty of Republican lawyers.... I know a few... Do they have their own private club outside of the American Bar Association......?

I don't follow options and barrowing this to buy that to secure this... to maybe.... possibly.... make some kind of profit in 30 ± days if the time function doesn't ware off....????

I'm either short or long the emini futures and Right or Wrong and I own the contract.

For a dumbass trader like me.... the thought of any "StockGate"... at this time in an administration cycle... with the full regalia of news coverage and a public who doesn't know what the hell a short is, but does know that Hedge Funds are ie: LTCM and Enron's are evil...

Makes me sit up and take notice of any mutual funds and other type tingie's these retirement accounts have us all stuffed into.....!!!!!

I'm not pleased... and do not believe a meltup would last very long....!
