"Under slogans such as protecting national security or fighting terrorism, there's always a reason to act against and silence human rights advocates,"

The mullahs need a reason?

the U.S. military attack on Iraq ... hurt the democracy process in Iran and in the region.

Uh...what democracy process would that be?

"Why do you buy bush's sales pitch when all the results prove that the product does exactly the opposite?"

I am not buying the sales pitch. I was talking about a hypothetical last resort situation where we intervened to save the worlds oil supply from terrorist control. Thats all i was talking about. As for what Ebadi said, i do not dismiss it out of hand, nor do i just accept it. And iraq and iran are two different situations entirely so she could be right in one place and wrong in the other. At first glance cant see why she is right in iran. mike
