Yes. By "left," I mean less conservatism, economically and otherwise. A nation that is dependent upon foreign deficit support and that suddenly begins to lose that support will be required to make some significant changes in thinking in order to curb its appetites. Many of those appetites are considered appetites for necessities. I don't think the shift will result in a more self-reliant people, Buddy.
