The freedom of conscience makes the case stronger but IMO people have a natural right to choose who they associate with or do business with even if their is no freedom of conscience issue. There can be consequences from discriminating in a non-socially acceptable way but for the most part I don't think those consequences should include being forced out of business by government edict, or serving a prison sentence or paying a fine. The consequences could include being forced out of business because people don't want to patronize a business run in what they consider to be an unacceptably bigoted matter.
