Big Government Again

Enjoy? I feel ill! It's like AIDS - all over the place and getting worse. The behaviour causing AIDS seems like a good idea at the time, but the longer term consequences end up more important. A self-destruction system eating us from the inside out. Never mind terrorists, most people are their own worst enemy due to their own silly choices on what they eat and smoke and do, but also due to what they vote for [like turkeys voting for an early Xmas].

It's as though the cosmos is so frightening that it's safer to be poor and cowering and have a busy, crowded world around us where our pathetic little individual selves are safely concealed in a great big governmental and social herd of sheeple so the wolf is less likely to get us individually.

The fact that government actually is the Frankenstein monster of our own creation and throws us to the wolves escapes our attention, a bit like a beaten wife all too often loves the beater and keeps going back for more, until he kills her. Stockholm syndrome isn't just for kidnapping situations.
