So if fiscal deficit spending, and expansion of government, and devaluation of the national currency have been ONGOING practices of government for a very long time, for many decades (as they have), then that becomes the NEW CONSERVATIVE PARADIGM... simply because to continue such imprudent practices is "keeping things the way they have been"? It is the same old leftist paradigm being sold as the new conservative paradigm. That is precisely what is going on currently and why we are ever shifting toward greater wastefulness. The underlying philosophy never changed.
