Ted, Spybot: you should have version 1.3 and the latest update of definitions was 5/29/04. To find this info, open Spybot and click on HELP and then on ABOUT. I downloaded the updates and ran Spybot again. It was of no use. I ran PCPit again............apparently, my pc has a trojan, Socket of Trois. I did a google on trojans..........their behavior sounds almost exactly what I am experiencing. For an example, I have the most pop ups when I reboot. I tried to follow their instructions for manually deleting the trojan but I don't have enough pc literacy to able to do it. Do you know of any software that will do the trick? TIA.
