I have a feeling that AMD wants to start with 90nm node in Fab36, hopefully in mid 2005 as a hedge for 65nm process development delays, to add to the volume of 90nm production, and to have something for the facility to produce while the slow 65nm ramp takes place.

It would seem to indicate that IBM and AMD may have one or two identical processe lines even at 90nm. If IBM can FAB a few million Semprons for AMD each quarter, it lets AMD go after a larger share of the market.

Maybe this is how the Sempron line is going to let AMD increase market share in Q4...
