I wrote a scanner to calculate Piotroski scores and ran a few indices through it. I put the results on the web here:

members.cox.net

The scans are without regard to valuation (unless the index itself claims some bias). I wrote the tool to scan individual stocks and it's been a really handy when testing people's recommendations from articles - I usually eliminate low scorers quickly unless there are some very specific reasons to buy. I started running it on indices and I saw some interesting companies recommended here that top the list.

The Russell 3000 is the most interesting general index (the list for this index is somewhat outdated though). I'm still looking for better sources for more indices.
