rosa be votin' for HEATHER MALLICK...

I expect she'll be a good candidate to vote for. I'd be doing the same, but I live in a rural riding that traditionally votes for the Conservatives. The NDP never pick up more than a small handful of votes, so it is (rather unfortunately) a real throw away to vote for either the NDP or the Green Party.

I liked rosa's other comment...

none of this year long election campaign
for us. no siree ... it's six weeks, down and
dirty. wham, bam, thank you mam. now let's vote.

Yeehaw, YES! Up here, there's none of this p*ssing around with elections that take a year or more to happen. What in heck do we need more than a few weeks for? IMO, the U.S. style elections are a mega-sized waste of time..and even more so, a waste of money shot on advertising, conventions, flying around all over the country shaking hands, etc... It's an "industry" all to itself, so to speak. Worse yet, IMO, it is an extremely divisive exercise that creates a terrific amount of disunity among Americans -- especially this go round. Totally ridiculous.
