It would be hard to let go of so much ingrained nonsense. My experience is that at about 14-15 you realize how idiotic most of this "you will, you shall, you must" crap is and you move on. Perhaps it is a good thing that some place these restrictions on themselves rather than turning violent. Existence and consciousness is such a rare and fragile thing nothing more should be needed.
