"Self professed" kind of covers that, if you read the post carefully. LOL! Yes it does, kind of. I agree. You're doing fine. Self professed does not mean that they are patriots, only that they think they are patriots[.] Right - sounds to me like you're up to speed. Excellent. Of course, I'd already read that, and was merely continuing the thought in Dale's post. I'm not sure where you arrived at the idea that I'm not familiar with the shortfall between "actual" vs. "self-professed" political positions or stances, but I was only adding texture, if you will.
