Did you see that legal opinion that came out of the Pentagon that says the President basically has unlimited powers in time of war? People will say that can't happen here. Well Lincoln already did it once during the Civil War but turned out not to be some evil doer. Pretty scary stuff. Here is the chronology: Register the guns, identify your political opponents or anybody that might oppose, get the addresses ready, get as many guns as you can using current legal means, get the interment/death camps readied, create a crisis, declare martial law/absolute power, round up the opponents quickly, get the rest of the guns using registration information, jail the gun owners, suspend elections indefinitely, suspend the constitution, take over all major business and put their control in the hands of your cronies, make all small businesses illegal, seize all private property, kill the people in the interrment camps..now death camps. Give all property and all power to your cronies. Allow your cronies to violent put an end to any and all protests. We're seeing all of the first few steps now. Can't happen here? Ask the American Indians, ask the Japanese Americans, look at the death POW camps run during the Civil War.
