Well, the problem with using the "morphed" word is that to Muslims, it hasn't morphed. It's unnecessarily inflammatory, and I use the term "unnecessarily" to express my belief that sometimes there's no reason to use a perfectly good word when you know that it's going to cause problems.

It's not a matter of being "politically correct," it's just common sense not to pour gasoline on fires.
