hmmm.

So Bill and Hillary eschewed notions of "middle class love"
by "smartly" recognizing that
those who criticized Bill for his philandering were
guilty, or at least probably guilty, of the same thing.

One flaw: I wouldn't necessarily regard members of Congress
or media personalities as representative of the "middle class."

Observation: My problem with Bill's behavior was that
he did it with a young employee on the work premises.
If he kept it out of the workplace, I'd be more inclined to
call it a personal matter.

I've no doubt that former Chief Executives have similarly
abused the Oval Office; however, these are different times.

"Smart" CEO's or highly placed executives in business
know better than to engage in such behavior,
consensual or not. Sex harassment cases are
too easy to file and win.

I suspect that Bill did it because he thought he could.
Evidently he had avoided any real fallout from his
prior indiscretions, so why the heck not?

I don't think that "smart" is the term I'd apply............
But that's probably just me.<g>
