here's the deal, iom

Reagan's death made world news [and coverage] for over a week

it culminated in an awesome and yes, heart-rendering service and burial

visually beautiful, very moving, very American

accolades were heaped on Reagan

it all rubbed off positively for the Republicans

it's just the way it happened

non-republicans, anti-repubs, are trying to disrupt all that positive energy

it's how they're doing it that is ugly - ragging on the man, Reagan, his personal mistakes, his personal life - along with blowing out of proportion the rhetoric

for he did 'tear' down that wall - and that alone is probably the biggest best brightest thing that happened in the last half of the 20th century

he did it and he was republican

for me? that erases any mistakes he made along the way

and he made them, every politician does - and you can find them, specially when you want to pick apart his every word, move and action to be used in a negative light
