I thought that some mix of Webster's two meanings fit our enterprise in Iraq. Some mix of the two is what I think of when I think of crusade, not necessarily a repetition of the historical event, simply some missionary zeal plus power to enlighten others in our Western/Christian ways and make them righteous. Urgent and zealous cultural imperialism with religious underpinnings and military force.

Me, too. Through some combination of bad math and inattention, I inadvertently hiked my score on that vocabulary test by ten points. It was 168, not 178. It surely would have been higher had my brain been fully awake, though. <g> Anyway, wanted to set the record straight.
