AMD's unwillingness to crank up lower priced supply in order to stimulate further demand due to cost of production and resulting margins. This assumption can be based on reasonable yield expectations w/130nm K8 die size.

And you were the one talking about Ockham's razor....

Unwillingness? Try inability.

Underutilized fab capacity is not preferable to lower margin production, particulary when AMD is trying to establish their architecture and capture market share. Either they can't make any more or they can't sell any more. That's by far the simplist explanation and that's the one that passes the Ockham's razor test.
