The Pentium M doesn't have the same pin layout as the P4's. They're in slightly different locations so it won't physically fit into a P4 board, not to mention the pins don't have the same signal assignments. So far the only Pentium M desktop boards are a scant few mini itx units.

That seems to agree with what I read, which is why I asked if it is compatible with existing P4 motherboards.

That could make it a very interesting processor for HTPCs / DVRs and the like.
