James, another Las Vegas local recommended it to me. Although not a taxi driver, I trust this person's judgment. I'll probably give it a try. BTW, I did very well at the slots downtown. There were some pretty nifty-looking pawn shops down there too. - Holly

Best shrimp cocktails for a buck. Also a great deli for sandwich's. I love downtown and just came back from a stay at the Venetian. Couldn't get in downtown and the Stardust didn't work out. Anyhow had a great time.

I also found a way around the cab tours of LV. I know what it cost's to get from A to B. For instance I get in the cab at the V and say take me to Binion's and I'm going to give you 20 bucks for that trip regardless of what your meter reads. No more 18 dollar trips to downtown. In fact I had one guy get me there for 11! Now that is a record. If they know up front what your paying the long route goes away rather quickly and then they can have a nice tip rather then running up the meter and pissing me off so I don't give them a tip.
