Bush-Cheney and cronies are guilty for the higher costs in energy, health care, tuitions, etc. They have also shifted the tax burden more to the middleclass so that when it comes time to pay off the 2 trillion in addiutional deficits (and a lot more if B-C are re-elected) the middleclass will get the short end of the stick. The tax cuts were all a gimmick to fool middleclass voters, while rewarding the rich and special interests. If you don't believe this you're a sucker. Ands yes, most states have higher local taxes under Bush. Or else they deferred it like Arnold did by borrowing and putting off tax hikes or steep cuts in services until the next guy's term.

I'm not paying more for local taxes.

Really? where do you live?

Lowing federal income tax does not raise energy cost

Yes it does. By running up huge deficits the value of the dollar had fallen, and future dollar strength will be hampered by additional drag on the dollar due to higher interest payments on the debt. When the value of the dollar goes down the price of foreign oil goes up to compensate. Thus deficit spending does raise the price of energy.

tuition

Federal grants and other assistance to your State universities is down, thus higher tuition is needed to cover the shortfall.

or health care cost

Not really related to lower federal taxes, but effected by the other policies of the administration such as the bogus Medicare bill with the benefits to the big Pharma companies. And reflective of the increase in costs generally across the board due to rising inflation and energy costs.
