Sioux, here are two facts regarding those stats, the marriage penalty bill was for couples married... The super majority for raising taxes was meant to make it more difficult for congress to raise taxes without a strong majority, which would have meant that they really would have had to justify it...instead of it just being part of a social agenda... They were trying to make it more difficult for Washington to take our money away from us and to spend it on pork... It makes sense.
