Cow, thanks.

I scanned with Symantec and while the scanning, my McAfee virus alerted me to the Downloader K-Z trojan. Its now deleted. We'll see if that's the end of it. The Symantec scan reported no known viruses or trojans.

In my zeal, I screwed up and deleted Rundll32.exe. Do you know of any place to download this application. I don't want to have to reload 98.

Thanks.

ted

It appears I have a brand new problem. I use Hotmail only for IM with my son. I get dozens of junk mail which I just mass delete a couple times a week. The other day I noticed a mail from "Postmaster" telling me that an e-mail I had sent wasn't deliverable. I just dumped it along with the rest. Then it occured to me that I hadn't sent mail from Hotmail. This morning there was another of these with my complete Hotmail address showing. The message I allegedly sent was simply "Take a look at this attached file." That was it, and there was no attached file in the returned mail.

This looks very suspicious to me. What do I probably have here and what do I do about it?

TC: I think he wanted his desktop icons to remain fixed.

Tejek:
Try this. Right click on the desktop, select "arrrange icons by" and check "show desktop icons" and "lock web items on desktop" Don't check any other items and the icons should be moveable by left clicking and moving, and should remain where you move them.
