I think the key word there, Karen, is *acknowledging*... The media has been wild to show the excesses from the few in the military, but v-e-r-y reluctant to even talk about any excesses from Saddam...(they were with Stalin as well)

Remember Eason Jordan and CNN...who KNEW about Saddam's murders for over 11 years he said last year, but didn't report on them, because of "not wanting to bring harm to the staff in Iraq".... What that meant to me was that it was MUCH more important for CNN to make money, and not to tell the truth about the situation.

What is a practical solution you ask.... Perhaps truth would work. Unvarnished truth from all sides of an issue would be refreshing.
