Hi Steve, I've had win98se for a few years and like it very much. My computer tech gave me a Free Copywrited Demo Copy of Windows 2000 pro about 6 months ago. I had read it's ok to load both Win98 and win2000 on same hard drive, win 98 must be loaded first and have a dual boot machine. I loaded win2000, no problem. Now when I boot i have a choice of either. Boots up with win2000 highligted, no action on my part for 60 seconds and it boots into win2000, otherwise i can move cursor to win 98 and boot there. I'm so happy with win2000 I never use win98. 2000 takes a couple minutes longer to boot than 98 buts that's ok. No activation
required with 2000 and I'm not sure if there's a limit on how many machines you can install 2000 on. All the MS Updates keeps 2000 updated.

On boot with 2000 you have a choice to go into safe mode, where there's a provision to RECOVER from a previous date should problems occur. I've never had to recover. It's about as perfect as any OS that I'm aware of. 6 Months and a very happy Camper.
