There is no link between Al Qaeda and Iraq. In fact, that assertion was always absurd.

Even conservatives like Alan Murray in the WSJ are now asking "Did [George W. Bush] lie about Iraq's ties to terrorism?"
online.wsj.com

His answer is that Bush sees issues in black and white and cannot distinguish between different bad guys. Murray wrote: "Mr. Bush's broad-brush division of the world into good guys and bad guys can be criticized for its crudeness and simplicity. But most who know him believe it is how he sees the world." With this contorted logic, Murray concludes Bush isn't lying. ROFLOL.

If Murray is correct, shouldn't Bush be removed from office under the 25th Amendment? " ... the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office .."

9/11 panel sees no link between Iraq, al-Qaida
Commission opens final hearing before release of report

MSNBC staff and news service reports
Updated: 6:48 p.m. ET June 16, 2004WASHINGTON - The commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks reported Wednesday that Osama bin Laden met with a top Iraqi official in 1994 but found “no credible evidence” of a link between Iraq and al-Qaida in attacks against the United States.

My comment:
Read on and you will clearly see that Saddam did not respond to OBL's request for any assistance. And if you sit back and think for a while, you will soon see why Saddam unlike Mollah Omar of Afghanistan did not want to welcome OBL into Iraq. Hint: Saddam was not a firm believer in the Islamic dogma. Al he wanted was to hold onto to his personal power and pass it down to his sons after his days were over.
