croc- thanks. that's interesting food for thought and some good questions posed... Getting bloody complicated, isn't it? How do we figure out which of the above is evil? Which shall we eradicate or reform or relocate to stamp out in order to "right" the Balance of the Universe? that's partly what's driven me to choose door #3. that, and the serenity i feel when surrendering my angst and trusting the design of the universe... and the pain i feel when i violate nature's laws. an interesting note about perfect or "right" balance is that equal balance or a state of equilibrium is not natural. exact balance cancels out the energy of opposite polarities. at that point life and growth stops. peace and calm is NOT the common state of nature. it only exists in passing as two opposing forces exchange their relative dominant positions. the greater the gap or distance between the opposing forces the greater the potential energy to return to the center of equilibrium. but inversely, on the return, the kinetic energy builds more and more in value as the polarities draw closer and closer... too much kinetic energy and momentum to stop in the center at the state of equilibrium. these are simple lessons from a simple understanding of simple newtonian physics... if you really want to complicate your life and move on to door #4, study quantum physics and watch as nature completely defies it's own laws and matter becomes "dreamstuff". door #4 exists so geniuses and scientific and spiritual pioneers can have fun too. i don't think i have the mental capacity to open door #4 ...but i HAVE peeked in the window. <vbg> -el sportzman
