Doug,

Perhaps Elmer is confusing AMD's 130nm process with Intel's 90nm process. It looks like Intel isn't getting much out of that, with essentially no 3.6 GHz parts until at least September, and 3.4 GHz parts continuing to be extremely rare through August.

I must admit its unfair to put all the blame on Intel's 90nm process for this, its rather the design engineers that got overexcited and more than doubled the number of logic transistors, for what? a performance loss?
