WR Hambrecht Discusses Semiconductor Devices

<<Ridgeland, MS, JUN 17, 2004 (EventX/Knobias.com via COMTEX) -- WR Hambrecht believes the NAND Flash industry will continue to experience strong demand in 2004-05 from digital still cameras, MP3 players, USB drives, Camcorders and handsets. They see bit demand increasing by 211% in 2004 and by 96% in 2005 and NAND flash supply increasing by 224% in 2004 led by a 235% bit supply increase. Towards the end of 2004, the firm thinks supply could slightly outpace demand with 2005 being a year of oversupply. Despite the possible oversupply, they think the NAND flash industry is one of the best ways for investors to play the second leg of the semiconductor cycle and to take advantage of the explosive growth in consumer devices.>>
