Lizzie, The news report re Hamas UCI graduates was on CNN. I'm not certain but had the impression these were homegrown Islamic Fundamentalists.

The benefits from Reagan/Bush Sr tax cuts created the 90s bubble--Clinton was in the right place at the right time. He also had the wisdom to adopt most of conservatives economic policies. I remember being angry with Bill Clinton because he simply stole Repubs decades long fiscal conservative policies. Until Clinton, Democrats bought votes with every social program imaginable. Granted the Bush Adm has not solved many problems, but they've been slightly distracted by the terrorists...a problem Clinton swept under the rug for 8yrs. Stop reminding me that the Democrats had a chance to choose a worthwhile candidate and instead managed to zero in on a flip-flopping, egotistical gigolo. We will indeed be voting for the lesser of 2 evils in Nov and IMO that's GW Bush. At least he has the backbone to stay the course with consistent policy. A man who constantly wrestles with every decision, for fear of paying the consequences of a wrong one, is a President who is overcome with paralysis by analysis. We can't afford that luxury right now.
