Your whole post amounts to a simple assertion (by Smedley Butler) that all of the wars he fought in during his 33 years in Marines where nothing more then using armed force for no other purpose then to benefit (perhaps even to impose the will of) American companies. Even if this was true it would not say anything about the wars before and after those 33 years but I see no reason to think it is true. A simple assertion with no argument to back it up can be denied by a similar simple assertion. If you want to present an argument (other then an argument by authority with Smedley Butler as the authority) then feel free to do so but so far you have not. Tim
