But the law says that if you sell apples, you don't turn away Jews or Christians or women or anybody else without just cause.

We aren't arguing about what the law says as much as we are arguing about what it should say. If your only point is determining what the law says the conversation would have been very brief.

Would you like to be denied rent, clothing, or food because you believed in Islam??

I doubt he would. I know I wouldn't want to be treated that way for similar reasons. I also wouldn't want to be denied any of those things for many reasons that are not illegal and I could come up with any number of other things that I would like that are not and IMO should not be legally required, and any number of things that I don't like that are not and should not be legally forbidden.

Where there is no respect or regard for human rights and freedoms there is much thinking.

Forcing someone to associate with and contract with people that they don't want to have dealings with shows little or no respect or regard for their human rights and freedoms.

gibberish... "I am the last person to endorse slavery."

Forced servitude that violates one's conscience in the name of LAW is the most extreme form of state sanctioned human rights violation.

Servitude: a condition in which one lacks liberty especially to determine one's course of action or way of life.
