What i was talking to was the possiblity of a mutually beneficial deal between iran and al quaeda.
Iran helps al q with iraq and gives them a bomb for use elsewhere. In return US is distracted over this time period so iran is able to develop that bomb. When bomb is used by al q, there is deniablity for iran. Sort of explains what may be going on now between sworn enemies. mike
