"...erroneous statements made by the Bush administration about the involvement of Iraq in the 9/11 debacle. I don't know about you, but I was led to believe that there was a definite tie in with OBL and Saddam..."

After 911, I talked with many confused people that in many cases could not distinguish Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia on a map or as distinct cultures. People tended not to know which bad guys were representing which regions let alone which organizations.

I remember the Bush Admin making speeches in attempts to clearly define our enemies, there organizations and there representation in the world. There was also a great deal of media coverage that was presenting every kind of bigotry, hate and unsubstantiated innuendo.

I do not recall the Bush Admin ever accusing Saddam as being instrumental in the 911 attacks. He apparently asked Clark to investigate and found there was no connection. Do you have anything that shows where Bush said it was Saddam?

No, my concern was with what appears NOW to be erroneous statements made by the Bush administration about the involvement of Iraq in the 9/11 debacle.

I know the left continues to promulgate this lie, but the Bush administration never said Saddam was involved in 9/11.
The commission agreed with Bush, Saddam had ties with Al Qaida, but not on degree if association. Even the Democrat commissioner, Lee Atworth, said he couldn't understand what the leftist press was screaming about as the commission basically agreed with President Bush's statement re: Iraq.

Just more left wing BS. Jump on anything published, even if they have to lie.
