Bush Sticks to Misrepresentations on the al Qaeda Link Filed under: News— David Corn on 6/17/2004 at 9:57 am bushlies.com Yesterday I wondered how Bush would react to the 9/11 commission report’s finding that there was no “collaborative relationship” between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. No surprise: he stuck to his guns–meaning he repeated his facts-challenged assertions. First Secretary of State Colin Powell tried to defend Bush on this front and ended up contradicting his previous position. (See here.)
