Bush Sticks to Misrepresentations on the al Qaeda Link

Yesterday I wondered how Bush would react to the 9/11 commission report’s finding that there was no “collaborative relationship” between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. No surprise: he stuck to his guns–meaning he repeated his facts-challenged assertions. First Secretary of State Colin Powell tried to defend Bush on this front and ended up contradicting his previous position. (See here.) Then Bush spoke for himself this morning and dismissed the commission’s conclusion.
