Here's a bit of info today on some analysts comments:

Geac Computer Corp GAC
Shares issued 85,174,785 Jun 18 close $8.75

Mon 21 Jun 04

The Globe and Mail reports in its Monday, June 21, edition that Geac Computer is slated to post its fourth quarter results Monday.

Analysts forecast Geac will make a profit in the fourth quarter of 14 U.S. cents a share and profit for the year ended April 30, 2004, of 55 U.S. cents a share. Analysts expect Geac's profit for fiscal 2005 will be 62 U.S. cents a share. The shares of Geac closed Friday at $8.75 (Canadian), up 14 Canadian cents a share, on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Geac is trading at a low price relative to its earnings, but "if the company can execute on its strategy and start
delivering top-line growth, then it is extremely cheap," David Shore, an analyst with Desjardins Securities, said in a recent report. Licence
revenue, which accounts for about 16 per cent of the company's revenue, has started to show improvement during the past several quarters, he said.

Orion Securities is also looking for growth in Geac's licensing revenue on new products. "We believe that focus for fiscal 2005 will be on driving revenue growth through both acquisitions and internal initiatives," said
Peter Misek, an Orion analyst.
