The GOP's bait and switch tax cuts are the biggest vote-buying gimmick ever. They give you $1000, then with their other hand pick your pocket of $2000 and stick you with the bill, while most benefits go to the very rich that don't need the money. When you add up corporate cronyism resulting in higher energy, health care and tuition costs, not to mention higher local taxes in many states, you get to about $2000 extra for the average US family. The GOP's tax cuts are also all deficit financed because they will not cut spending, so it's all backloaded debt which will dumped mainly on the middleclass in future years after Bush is gone. It's all a big scam. Their also selling out our environment so more pollution is another "gift" you get as the booby prize.
