"Free speech" does not, and never has meant that people can say anything they want. There are all sorts of restrictions, most recently imposed by the Left on "hate" speech and even on much more benign speech that is "politically incorrect."

Since Moore's film expresses hate toward an "acceptable" target, e.g. a Republican, and is not "politically incorrect," it is defended by the Left.
