well I have been an investor for 15 years or so and this is one of the worst market periods I have encountered. It is like the 70s. In the 80s and early 90s (pre boom) we always had leadership... not now. EVERY growth stock nomatter who he is is getting summarily taken to the woodshed. Today it was RHAT, last month JNPR, there are VERY FEW growth companies able to hold on here. I am not looking for a repeat of 99 but I would take 93. We had growth companies in 93 (oracle was one). This year there is NOTHING. Buying value stocks for a bounce is the sign of an unhealthy economy in my view.

OK so summer can be slow and we are down on the markets for the year. But, we still have the fall. I will wait for the last few mos of the year and hope for better returns. If we don't get a decent market this fall then we really are in the 70s I think. THe small period in 03 was a countertrend rally in a bear it looks like.

What do you think of the fiddler and guitar player on this one.
Sounds far out to me. I play it a lot cause I figure we can crash anytime, just like Old 97.
