This is the part of ASP.NET that I really despise.

Classic ASP would report the module name, line number, and display the line causing the error. Exactly the debugging info needed and nothing more.

ASP.NET basically gives you two choices. Either display a useless generic error message (what you're seeing), or display the line causing the error. Problem is, the latter choice also makes all of the source code available, which is a very bad thing. There are programmers out there far more clever than I and not only do I not want to just make the source code available for anyone and everyone to use to write their own site, I don't want those more-clever programmers finding mistakes I've made that they can exploit.

I'll stomp out the other bugs that were reported to me, then see if I can recreate your login problem and let you know when/if I can.

Edit: Do you know if you have cookies disabled on your browser? I'm not currently using cookies stored on your hard drive, but will be. I don't know if cookie-disabling also disables the temporary kinds of cookies I'm using right now.

The routines for storing cookies long-term are written but are currently commented out.
