Steve, Mueller and Tenet should have both resigned or been fired 9/12.

That's one huge problem with Bush. He's a loyal trooper and isn't the kind of guy who can swing the axe.

Unfortunately, I haven't really called him on this, since I can't imagine being able to swing the axe myself. But then again, I'm not even a manager of a small team, much less the president of the United States.

Steve, Wow, there's agreement with you on this topic.

RE: "The FBI agents in Phoenix and Minneapolis who tried to do something before 9/11 should have taken their place."

It's scary to think their upper management was ignoring them - as if they have a huge disconnect. That's equivalent to a CEO of a hightech company either not understanding or not listening to his or her engineers. Until they restructure their organization so people like her (the FBI agent in MN) are heard, I'm not going to feel safe.

RE: "The day after 9/11, we knew who the hijackers were, where they slept, and what they had for dinner the night before."

They knew who would be probable terrorists even were before 9/11, which is actually amazing I think. They just need to implement better follow-through. To be so close, but then to be ignored by upper management is ridiculous. At the cost of 3,000 lives.

Amy J
