Smart Money, July issue, has some good stuff. Eric Savitz writes about the 'Net IPOs coming out, salesforce.com, a Chinese gaming issue, among others, that look like reasonable speculations if you can buy them at 2-3x sales (that's a generous valuation in my book, by the way, but not necessarily unreasonable).
Kevin Landis talks about OmniVision, one of his larger holdings (and a stock that has graced this thread recently) that carries a PE of 14 (they make video screens for cell phones and security devices).
And Paul Wick, of T Rowe Science and Tech fame, weighs in with optimism about the outlook.
The negative on all this, they say, is that their companies are doing well but the stocks aren't moving, due to investor skittishness about cycles and such.
So, there you go. I'm right, you're right, Sig's right, Lizzie's right, we'll are correct in our views, depending on what we're looking at.
To me, I'd rather spend a dollar on a new idea anytime. If it doesn't work out, well, so what? Here's a dollar. Put in on 17 Black, or whatever, and spin the wheel.
