You cannot change your alias yourself. Address a reply to one of SI Admin (Dave)'s posts (or send him a PM) and tell him what you want your new alias to be.

You should be able to change your own alias on the Dev site. However, that change won't be reflected back here, and could end up being overwritten at some time in the future during a data import.

I just noticed that the routine wasn't checking to see if you're logged in, which I just fixed, but it should've been impossible to get to that screen via any links on the site without being logged in.

Try it again and see if you have the same problem.
