US bases are in Europe well over 50 years since WWII, US troops are in Korea after almost 2 generation after Korea was divided .. We are in Japan Philippines etc, way way after hostilities ceased - It seems that the US Forces preserved stability - it may be true and it may be not. why people are dabbling in issue they know very little about is beyond me
